Do you know what they said to me!

Often we live life from the perspective of not having choices yet every day we make choices. This becomes especially important when it comes to what we take into us. The things we let inside us whether it be spoken words or tangible things.

We have a choice regarding what we believe and what we allow to replay in our heads and become our perception of reality. Do you know when someone says something that’s not nice about you or to you that you don’t have to believe it? Did you

Who Is Responsible For Encouraging Us?

In this modern age of social media I see a lot of post about lack of encouragement and support. I thought this would be a good time to share on encouragement as we must learn how to be the biggest encouragers of ourselves.

I recently shared this as a comment on a blog post:

“Encouragement must always start within. It’s great to have others cheering us on and supporting us but we must be our own cheerleader cheering the loudest FIRST!”

Let’s define encouragement so we’re on the same

10 Tips for Studying Your Bible

I had a conversation about God’s word being written on our hearts.
The topic was centered around exploring the thought that if God has written his law on our hearts from birth why are we also born in sin.

After some research I discovered this was a reference to Jeremiah 31:33 which says:

Jeremiah 31:33
But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be

Why I don’t downplay the gifts and talents He gave me.

I believe in working in life and in the Kingdom.

In life I am a photographer and a strategist for small businesses, non profit organizations, authors, bloggers, other photographers and creatives. I had a conversation with a local business owner that gave me something to think about and I wanted to share with you.

I am humbled that the Lord would allow me to do photography and enjoy it. It’s relaxing but it’s also business. I have put the time in to lay a solid foundation and do continuing education so I

Testify: Does God Deliver From Depression?

It’s still fresh in my mind, there I was sitting on the examining table crying hard. I mean really hard and my doctor was charting a diagnosis of depression.
“You’re depressed” he said. I was gaining weight, having unexplained aches and pains, severe digestive issues, not sleeping, crying easily, having problems thinking, blacking out, and a host of other things. I was depressed. And I was a follower of Christ.

My doctor wrote me a prescription, MD’s are known to medicate patients right? Often that medication helps with the symptoms but doesn’t

What You Say Is What You Said -James 1:19

I had an interesting conversation with a friend recently. Friends are allowed to have disagreements and still be friends. Right?

I love my friend. They are special to me. We have a loving relationship. And the truth is friendships have STUFF. If you can’t survive a little stuff you probably don’t have much of a friendship anyway. Just sayin.

My friend said I did something and I had no idea what they were talking about. This something they said I did wasn’t a bad thing so there wasn’t

The Dog That Brings A Bone…

Galations 5:19-26

A young business man reached out to makeup artist in DFW to partner for his new business. In one of my makeup artist groups I saw an artist mention she has a meeting scheduled to have coffee with him and will report back to the makeup community on this “wannabe”. Four other artist said they had already met with him and asked to huddle in a private message. I later found out from the young man everyone he meets with signs a confidentiality agreement.

Before reading the makeup artist’

Even Soap Won’t Clean That!

I was reading a Facebook post that was saying some good stuff. I mean some really thought provoking stuff but it’s hard to read some of what could be a powerful post for the language. It’s also challenging to engage in what could be stimulating conversations when every other word is an F-bomb.
I wouldn’t miss the message for the madness but it would be great if the madness weren’t so in yo face-ish.

Profanity isn’t the worst thing in the world, we’ve got plenty of other things to attend to for

ThinkingOutLoud: “What Do You Like?”

I had an interesting conversation yesterday. Actually I had two interesting conversations that are worth giving some thought to. In the first conversation a dear older lady shared with me how she is at a point in her life where going through church motions and church as usual is something she’s not interested in; she’s been there and done that!  She expressed that as she looks around and sees people seemingly full of joy at going through and doing the same ole same ole she asked the Lord if there

TineyThought: Responsible For The Response

I don’t share this to highlight the attack or even the fact that blatant hatred and racism is alive today. I’m a southern girl, born and raised.  Most Northerners think racism is only prevalent  in the South. I think this serves as a good reminder that the deeds of the flesh are everywhere.  Evil workings have no knowledge of geography.

I have been called the N word once in my life to my face and I can appreciate it. I know society says it should make me angry and
